4 Teens Injured in Accident

Alcohol and drugs may have played a factor in a rollover accident involving 4 teens. Three passengers suffered serious injuries, as they were not wearing a seat belt. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence causing serious injury and taken to juvenile hall.

Teen Turns Himself In

A Citrus Heights teen was arrested for auto theft and burglary, after he turned himself in to Folsom Police ad Ed Michell Park. The boy was a passenger in a stolen Honda Civic that police had unsuccessfully sought after a short pursuit on December 30.

3 Teens Killed In EDH Wreck

Three Folsom teenagers were killed in a single car accident early Sunday morning. A 2006 Subaru Impreza carrying three boys and a girl was speeding northbound when the teen driver lost control and crashed into a large oak tree. The names have not been released; the driver faces possible manslaughter charges. There is no indications drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash.

Boy Dies After China Wall Jump

A popular teen hangout has resulted in another death. China Wall is a spot on Lake Natoma where teens often jump in to the lake at a high point, however it has a history of tragedy. Cody Isaacson, 16, of Rocklin, jumped in on Sunday, and never came up.

Some Folsom High undergrads have made some waves in the local music scene – the Not So Super Villains are a Folsom-grown ska band, nominated for this year’s Jammies, happening on February 23. Tickets can be purchased at Dimple’s.

‘Freaking’ Not Allowed

Club Organizers will have to look to other places to host events – the community center has put a “no freakdancing” rule in to effect, as a result of a number of complaints. While kids have enjoyed the “no rules” aspect of the private parties, parents are not amused.

Teen Gets 6 Months

Orangevale teenager Michael Anderson was sentenced to 6 months in jail, following a high-speed car crash that killed an elementary teacher on iron Point last January. Anderson will serve in Sacramento County Juvenile Hall.

Anderson’s Death Ruled Accidental

Folsom teen Andre Anderson died due to autoerotic asphyziation, a coroner’s report has confirmed. Though how he died is considered unusual, about 1,000 people die from it every year. Sacramento County sees one or two deaths a year of this type.

Death of Folsom Teen Shocks Folsom

The body of Andre Anderson, a Folsom High junior, was found hanging from a tree in Big Foot park. Police Investigation is continuing, but the family feels it may have been an accidental death. Foul play has been ruled out.

Big Change

Ricci Amoruso was a 305-pound freshman at Folsom High – “Big Rick” as many called him. He finds out about the Academy of the Sierras – a high school program for overweight teens. One year and 127 pounds later, Ricci is back, with a renewed life. The Sacramento Bee does a special report called “The Weight”.
