A Year of Burritos… Free!

Freebirds World Burrito is having its Grand Opening at the Palladio at Broadstone on Thursday. To generate some buzz, they are giving out a year’s worth of free burritos to the first 25 customers.  A free preview is going on today as well – free food for anyone that makes a $5 donation to Twin Lakes Food Bank.

Free RiverCats Tickets!

Who wants free tickets (plus parking) to the Sacramento RiverCats? We’ll be at Thursday Night Market this evening – stop by and ask for some – we’re handing them out while supplies last. Thursday Night Market is in Historic Folsom on Sutter Street, and we’ll be there from around 5pm – 8:30pm. The password for free tix is… ‘MyFolsom to go’!

Little Gym Open House Sunday

Looking for something to do with the kiddos this weekend? The Little Gym invites local residents to an Open House Celebration to experience its development programs for children age 6 mos to 12 years. The open house is free and will feature a variety of fun activities for guests of all ages. Prizes will be given out including memberships, enrollments and merchandise!

What’s Up this Weekend?

Free Museum Day Saturday

Explore the Folsom History Museum free of charge on Saturday – it’s free museum day, anf Folsom History Museum is one of many that’s participating. You can check out the museum on Sutter Street from 10-6 and then walk down to Pioneer Village on Wool Street, also free and open 10-4.

Free Concert Tonight!

Concerts in the Park kicks off tonight with the rock band Shameless! Swing by the Folsom City Park (by the library) with a blanket, some beverages, and a picnic dinner! If there are thunderstorms, the event will be bumped to the end of the summer. See you there!

Wednesday is Public Works Day

Looking for some free family fun? Folsom’s annual Public Works/Public Participation Day runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 in City Lions Park. Participants can meet K-9 units, hop on a garbage truck, or meetsome zoo animals, among other things. The event is scheduled in conjunction with the American Public Works Associations 49th National Public Works Week, May 17 – 23.
