Folsom Housing – Sales Down – Inventory Up and Pendings Up

Okay, here we are, half-way through the year, and it’s a good time to take a look at the Folsom housing market.

Data shows a drop in sales, a rise in inventory, and last month, a spike in pendings, which was likely caused by the drop in interest rates.

Remember last fall when the ‘experts’ predicted rates would hit over 5%, some even predicting close to 6%?

Folsom’s Low Housing Inventory Caused by a Perfect Storm

You hear it everywhere you go, “Housing inventory is at record lows”, and “it’s a seller’s market”.

It’s frustrating with buyers and agents alike. When submitting an offer to a listing agent, I told that was the fifth offer I’d written for that client. She replied, “That’s nothing. I wrote 16 offers for one buyer!”
