I had been anxious to try the new
Sea Harbor Grill ever since I saw an ad in a local publication
about the new business. I just love seafood & given the quaint
location (in the Kohl’s center next to
Meissner’s Sewing & Learning center), I was sure I’d uncover a
new favorite.Needless to
say, I was not disappointed. As expected, the ambiance was quaint
and location small, but well decorated in bright, nautical motif –
perfect for a good seafood spot. We were seated immediately and
the server was very friendly and helpful when asked about the
menu. The food was incredible. I ordered the swordfish with a
shrimp and vegetable topping (served with salad and bread). The
fish was perfectly broiled and the topping was amazing. My
husband had the clam chowder in a bread bowl which was served with
the “top” of the bread bowl as a piece of garlic bread – an
excellent touch.
It concerned me that the
restaurant was largely empty at 12:30 on a Monday (usually a prime
lunch time). I do hope this restaurant succeeds in this sometimes
difficult location. I do think they would benefit from a “lunch”
menu with smaller portions as their portions and prices seem to
appeal more to the dinner crowd. That said, for seafood lovers,
the quality of the food and friendly service cannot be beat, so
get out and give them a try!
