Every year, the
Folsom Rodeo comes to town,
marking the official start to the 4th of July season.
Anticipated almost as much as the rodeo itself is the Folsom
Cattle Drive, where the cowboys and wranglers take the steer
from the rodeo and bring them through Sutter Street. Mix in some
local celebs, Shriners, and an old west wedding, and you've got
quite a sight! It always a ton of fun - don't miss it if you get
the chance! |

Old School
Gunslingers dressed up in front of an old-fashioned 19th-century
TV van. |

Dressing the part
Authentic costumes... down to the, eh... sunglasses? |

Trouble Brewing
Some of the gunslingers argue in the street over a broad. |

Dewey Does It
Dewey Hopper of KOVR attempts to interview Cyndi Dow as the
Shriners driver circles around them in LOUD go-carts! Doubtful
the
interview was very productive. |
|

Cowgirl Up
The cowgirls are always a crowd pleaser, ushering in the start
of the parade. |

Dewey & Cyndi
Dewey & Cyndi continue their interview, attempting to ignore
the pesky go-carts. |

Chuck Wagon
A chuck wagon strolls by with local dignitaries. |

Mutton Busters
The 2004 "Mutton Busting" kids wave to the crowd and throw
candy. |

And Here They Come...
The rodeo cattle take a leisurely stroll down Sutter Street.
Tourists
were not allowed to run in front of them, however. |

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Keep them doggies rollin... |
|

See you at the Rodeo!
