About the time that Lexington Hills was being developed
on the east side of the city, the late 1980's, N atoma
Station was being built on the west side. Homes in this area were
similar in style and quality to those in Lexington Hills. Natoma
Station is south of Blue Ravine Road and east of Folsom Blvd.
Several builders were active in this neighborhood and some of the
individual developments have artistic sculptures at their entrances.
Most homes in this area tend to sell from the low $400,000s to the
high $500,000s. There are a couple of communities within Natoma Station where smaller homes were built on small lots. Homes
in these communities, The Bungalows and Oak Villas, tend to sell in
the low $300,000s to the mid $400,000s.
There are several parks, playgrounds, and an elementary school in
Natoma Station. Folsom Lake Recreation Area and Lake Natoma are
nearby with access at the Willow Creek entrance off Folsom Blvd. The
elementary school, Natoma Station Elementary features a roller
hockey facility. The Folsom Premium Outlets attract shoppers from
throughout the region. It boasts a 14 screen Century theater
complex, several restaurants and specialty shops, office buildings,
and two new large hotels, Larkspur Landing and Hilton Garden Inn.
There will be a light rail station at the corner of Folsom Boulevard
and Iron Point Road in approximately 2004 (pending).
