Cool Off at Folsom Lake
A wet spring and rising temperatures equates to a lake full of water... and people. Since a few of the parking lots are under water, some people have had to be turned away at Folsom Lake, as there is not enough room for everyone. Every weekend, about 1,400 boats visit the lake. Folsom's Bike Paths to Expand
Within 20 years, Folsom's bike trails will consist of 145 miles of bike paths, making it the most comprehensive bikeway system of any mid-size city in the United States. Folsom Ranks First in Median Income, Second in College Grads
The 2000 census data is in, and Folsom has ranked first in the Sacramento Valley in median income, with an average income of $82,000. Folsom trails only Davis in the percentage of college graduates in the area. Davis, which is most well known for its university (UC Davis), tops in at almost 69%. Many factors figure to weigh in to the high percentage of income in the area, however the presence of Intel and other high-tech companies in ther region figure to be a major contributing factor. More information is available in Sunday's Sacramento Bee.Labels: Intel, trails
