Folsom Dam Upgrade Underway
Work is finally underway for a $1.3 billion dam raise and spillway construction on Folsom Dam. Governor Schwarzenegger and Heather Fargo were among the dignitaries in attendance; the project is expected to last until 2015, and will double the lovel of flood protection in Sacramento.Labels: Dam raise, Folsom Dam, Spillway

New Spillway OK'd
As part of the Folsom Dam Raise project, the US Bureau of Reclamation and Army Corps of Engineers have signed off on a new spillway for Folsom Dam, which would run parallel to the new bridge, currently under construction.
