Parking Garage Now Open
The long-anticipated parking garage on Sutter Street is finally open... though it wasn't created for light rail use, it will come in very handy for things like Thursday Night Market, Folsom Live, and various festivals and fairs. The garage will hold 300 cars, and even includes 4,000 square feet of retail space. * Discuss on the Folsom ForumLabels: Parking, ribbon cutting, Sutter Street

Tow-Crazy at Esplanade
Residents in Esplanade Circle in Folsom are petitioning to immediately remove the area's Board of Directors, after more than 50 cars have been towed under a new parking guideline. Residents are forced to park miles away to avoid a $220 tow, and vehicles too large to park in the complex's parking spots are out of luck. * Discuss in the forumsLabels: CC+R's, Parking

Parking Wars by Folsom High
Prairie Oaks residents are getting fed up with high school students parking in neighborhoods. Loud music, burnouts, trash and graffiti are all symptoms of poor planning by the school district. Resident-funded parking permits are being looked at as a possible solution, as is timed parking.Labels: Folsom High School, Parking

Mystery Mound
So what's with the huge pile of dirt in the historic district? Well, it turns out, it's for the parking structure. Construction crews dug down, seeking possible tunnels from long ago, but nothing has been found. The dirt will backfill against the walls of the stucture. * Discuss in the forumsLabels: Parking, Railroad Block
