Empire Ranch is located off of East Natoma St., southeast of
Folsom Lake. With dramatic views
of Folsom, Empire Ranch sets an example of what a master planned
community should be. Empire Ranch encompasses nearly 1,750 acres of
rolling hills and oak trees. Included in this master planned
community that contains more than 3,000 homes is a public 18-hold
championship golf course, schools, hiking trails, parks, and
shopping. The golf course, which opened on May 11th, 2002, was
actually Folsom first course in the entire city. Designed by Brad
Bell, t he
course is a great balance between challenge and reward. A novice
golfer would not find this golf course overbearingly challenging and
an experienced golfer would be pleased with its difficulty.
Empire Ranch appeals to move-up buyers
(those families trading up for bigger houses). Currently, homes in
Empire Ranch range from the mid $400,000s and can exceed the
$800,000 price range. Empire Ranch is nestled away from the major
traffic areas but still within close proximity to Highway 50. As you
would imagine, many of the homes have views of the beautiful golf
course and the rolling hills of the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area.
The Folsom Cordova Unified School
District (FCUSD) is seeking to open another high school in Folsom.
Empire Ranch seems to be a great fit. With negotiations underway
with Elliott Homes, a 51-acre,
1,500-student high school is scheduled to open in the fall of
2006.
With 1,750 acres of master planned
community, Empire Ranch attracts Folsom residents from all over the
city with its parks, recreational activities, and scenic views.
