villages in Broadstone since 1991. The last phase is currently under
construction and will include 650 homes. The Broadstone
villages were built to appeal to first time homebuyers as well as
move-up buyers with a wide range of sales prices. Currently, homes
in Broadstone sell from the mid $300,000's to the low $600,000's.
The last phase will be primarily "executive" homes and
will showcase homes up to 3,800 square feet.
The Broadstone
Mall ("Palladio at Broadstone") is expected to be one of the largest regional shopping centers
in the area within the next decade. A new "power center"
including Home Depot, Old Navy, Borders Books, Petsmart, and various
other large stores makes it an easy place to spend a weekend
afternoon. Rapid retail and office development is planned for
the
next few years. With its proximity to Highway 50, the shopping
centers will appeal to residents of Folsom as well as outlying
areas. The Broadstone community has a 32-acre park and several
greenbelt areas as well as an elementary school. The area also
includes the Broadstone Racquet Club with two swimming pools and a
fitness center in addition to tennis courts. Memberships are
available to the general public.
