 Have a recommendation that I want
to pass along. Bobo's Cafe has recently opened here in Folsom where
the old Willie's used to be in the Raley's shopping center. Have to
tell you - this is one of my husband and my favorite places!
Probably wouldn't appeal to many without a recommendation - so here
it is! They continually get Best Of ratings (in the Vietnamese
category, I guess...) in Sacto Bee, and are a well known place to
see local celebrities at the Town and Country location as well as
their Madison location. Their food is healthy, lite and cool -
perfect for summer. You will often find Mr. Bobo there himself.
Our favorite is a #11 cold rice crepe rolled with cilantro, sprouts
and shrimp with a great peanut sauce as an appetizer and #51
charbroiled lemon grass chicken with a spring roll over rice
noodles. We sometimes crave this stuff....You won't need to take a
lot of money with you, but definitely take an open mind. The new
restaurant is great, and would accommodate kids, although we have
only taken ours once. They also have a very strange coffee
preparation (elaborately done at the table) that I have not ordered
yet in 5
years, but my mother swears by it.
