Best Bar: Powerhouse Pub

Powerhouse Pub is the center of Folsom’s nightlife. It’s no wonder why it’s a three-peat victor in the “Best of Folsom”… it’s a flat-out fun bar! Whether you are groovin’ to the Cheeseballs on the weekends or watching the big game on one of their many TV’s, this place is the first (and sometimes only) stop on any Folsom bar-hop.

Best Bar Food: BJ’s Restaurant Brewery

Trying to seal the deal with a client over a cold beer at BJ’s bar? The chicken lettuce wraps are most definitely an excellent choice. They also have exemplary buffalo wings, wedge fries, and mozzarella sticks, really anything you can think of. If you can’t find anything appetizing to eat from their bar menu… seriously, you’re hard to please.

Best Place to Be Seen: Thursday Night Market

“TNM” is most definitely the place to be in Folsom in the summertime. It’s a great way of getting out of the house and stretching your legs, and catching up with some of your neighbors in Folsom. It’s difficult to go to the “Market” and not bump in to someone you know!

Best Tourist Destination: Sutter Street

Sutter Street has always been, and may always be, the heart of Folsom. The long string of shops dates back to the city’s days as a gold rush town, and is one of the few cities left with a prominent destination from its beginnings. Bring in any out-of-towner and most are impressed with a gold-rush era town, still bustling as it once was.

Folsom is home to many yearly events that make it such a special, family-oriented city. However, Thursday Night Market is a place families, couples, singles, and teens can cang out and enjoy the vendors that come by in the summer time.

Folsom Lake is perhaps the best way to escape the heat when temperatures soar in the summer. Whether you are an avid boater, fisherman, swimmer, hiker, biker, or you just like to picnic at a beautiful spot, look no other than our own back yard – Folsom Lake.

Best “Under 21” Spot: Thursday Night Market

“TNM” certainly has been a popular choice with this year’s “Best of Folsom”. The “Market” is one of the most widely known teen hangouts in the summer – you’re always guaranteed to see them show up every Thursday Night in droves!

Best Community Park: Lembi Park

Lembi Park certainly has it all. Baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis, volleyball, play structures, and, oh yeah… an aquatic center. You’ll have a hard time finding this park going unused. It is one of the biggest destinations in town.
