Foothill Wine Fest Comes to Folsom This Weekend

November 16, 2021

Sample the Best from Over 50 Area Wineries!

Kick off the holiday season with your friends at the first ever Foothill Wine Fest. Come find your new favorites from dozens of great wineries based right in our own backyard.

The featured wineries participated in the first wine judging event focused on the wineries of the Sierra Foothills.

Judges included sommeliers, winery owners, wine buyers and media from throughout California and Nevada. It was a tough competition with hundreds of entries.

The wines chosen as best were:

  • White: 2020 Skinner El Dorado County Grenache Blanc 100 points
  • Rosé: Element 79 Abby’s Rosé Fairplay Dry Blush
  • Red: 2016 Amador Cellars Amador County Estate Tempranillo
  • Sparkling: Gwinllan Estate: 2018 Estate Brut from Fairplay
  • Dessert: 2005 diVittorio El Dorado Merlot Port

All entrants were then invited to participate in this inaugural Foothill Wine Festival.

With over 50 wineries from the Sierra Foothill Region, 300 wines poured, small bites and live music, this will be a fun and memorable event.

It’s all happening this Saturday November 20, from 4 to 7pm at The Palladio, Folsom’s premier shopping, dining, and entertainment venue.

Many of our regional wineries are small, family-owned businesses, and they make great wine! This is their chance to show their stuff, while engaging and growing their local fanbase.

Come chat with these local winemakers and experience wine tasting with experts.

The Foothill Wine Fest is presented by the Greater Folsom Partnership, with special thanks to Presenting Sponsors REVEL and Signature Bank.

Don’t miss it.

General admission will include a commemorative tasting glass; unlimited tastings, small bites and free parking. Advance tickets are $65 per person or $110 for a couple. Tickets sold for $75 at the door (pending availability).
