First Sculptures Arrive
The Georgia Murray Library is welcoming a couple of new sculptures, one of which is already in town. A giant set of books is now being placed on the grounds of the library; Fallen Folsom veteran Marshall Farley and his dog will be joining soon.Labels: Folsom Library

All-Access Park Coming
The Rotary Club of Historic Folsom are raising money to build a universally accessible park in Folsom. This park would be accessible to all children, including those in wheelchairs. The Rotary Club is raffling off a car to help pay for the playground, which may end up being in Livermore Park.

Downtown Railyard Revitalization Approved
Sacramento may be wondering how to revitalize their railyards, however Folsom will be moving full steam ahead on a revitalization with a Railroad Block near the original railroad turntable in historic Folsom. Tourist-attraction shops and lofts are expected to be included. Work begins in early 2007.

Folsom FD Gets Much-Needed Upgrade
Folsom Firefighters were happy to see a couple of new vehicles at their disposal - a new fire engine, as well as a water rescue boat. In previous years, neighboring stations would have to come in with a boat, at a time when time is very critical.Labels: Folsom Fire Department
