Ready Or Not...

...Ms. Teaz opens this Saturday. In perhaps the most controversial topic in Folsom since Low-Income Housing (at least on our Message Board), a high-end lingerie store will be coming to Sutter Street. Many businesses and residents are opposed to the store, which will be selling novelty items in the back room... Details

A Veep Candidate in Our Own Backyard

Many did not know this, but Ralph Nader's running mate, Peter Camejo, lives here in Folsom. You may remember him from his interesting views of politics as he made a bid for governor in the 2003 recall campaign. Ironically enough, in a town full of Republicans, he's one of the biggest leaders of the Green Party. Read his story here.

Ms. Teaz Draws Mixed Reaction

Ms. Teaz, a high-end lingerie and 'adult novelty' shop, is trying to move in to Sutter Street, but many merchants and residents want nothing to do with it. What many are at odds with - what will really be in the store? Lighthearted 'joke" gifts, as the owner proclaims, or hard-core porn, as many fear? Some new tenants are even threatening to leave Sutter Street, should Ms. Teaz come to Folsom. Full Story

Asbestos? ... Who Cares?

...2 people, to be exact. After 1,700 fliers were sent out to Folsom residents regarding how Folsom-Cordova planned on cleaning up the naturally occurring asbestos at the Lago Vista High School work site, only 2 showed up to speak at the hearing. For the record, the school grounds will be covered with clean fill, and fabric, however it appears the public's concern for this is not very much. Details
