Traffic Relief on Way
Folsom and El Dorado Hills broke ground on two new roads, which will hopefully relieve some of the congestion caused by the Dam Road closure. Sophia Parkway will be joined with Green Valley Road, while Iron Point will continue to Highway 50. The roads were not supposed to be in until 2008, but the need was much more evident with the Dam Road closure. More in the Bee.

Sutter Street To Get a Boost
Usually when one walks down historic Sutter Street, you walk to about the 800 block and turn around. After all, anything beyond that is usually unoccupied or in a state of disrepair. However the 900 block has long been an area targetted for redevelopment - soon it will house a restaurant, eight lofts, and retail space, all incorporating the unique architecture of Sutter Street, of course. Folsom Zoo a Big Hit
The Folsom Zoo has long been a popular attraction in Folsom, even if it features some rather unexotic animals such as squirrels and chickens. However with the addition of a couple of new tigers and the expanded bear exhibit, the Folsom Zoo is quite a hit. Our own Craig Learoyd gives us a photo journal of the Folsom Zoo.Labels: Folsom Zoo
