City Council Seeking Veterans' Input
In an effort to ease any tension with the Folsom Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Folsom City Council is seeking input from the group to determine the fate of a ball field donated by the Veterans in the infancy of the city's charter. The ball field is being removed to make way for the new library, but Veterans are not pleased with the plans, since they originally donated the land to the city. More in the Bee.

Railroad Block Fate Undetermined
What will become of the Railroad Block area, currently a parking lot by the Chamber of Commerce? It could be several things - mixed use for light rail, residential, retail and office; an entertainment hub with a theater, art galleries and shops; or even a scaled back development that's mostly parking. Folsom Depot (currently where the Chamber is) is a hot topic however, as 3 out of 5 proposals involve moving it. More in the Bee.Labels: art, Railroad Block, railroads
